OnePlus Buds Clip Arrive With Dual Drivers and a 40-Hour Battery Claim

OnePlus has introduced Buds Clip, open-ear wireless earbuds built around a flexible C-shaped bridge rather than a conventional in-ear seal. The company pairs two drivers in each earbud with Dynaudio tuning and claims up to 40 hours of playback when the charging case is included.

The product is listed on OnePlus's global website, but the October 26 announcement does not establish a price or a detailed country-by-country sales timetable.

A clip-on design with two drivers

The earbuds use a nickel-titanium bridge and weigh a claimed 5.2g each. The open-ear arrangement is designed to sit around the ear without sealing the ear canal.

Inside, OnePlus specifies an 11mm woofer and a 9mm tweeter, supported by dual DACs and tuning developed with Dynaudio. Codec support includes LHDC 5, AAC and SBC. Bluetooth 6.1 and dual-device connectivity are also listed.

Those specifications describe the hardware and supported connections; they do not, by themselves, establish real-world sound quality or connection reliability.

Battery figures depend on the codec and test conditions

OnePlus's maximum 40-hour figure includes recharging from the case and is based on AAC playback at 50 percent volume. The company lists up to 9.5 hours from the earbuds alone under its AAC test conditions.

Using LHDC reduces the stated combined endurance to up to 36 hours. Actual listening time will vary with volume, codec, calls and other settings, so the headline figure should not be read as 40 uninterrupted hours from the earbuds themselves.

Calls, protection and colors

OnePlus promotes a six-microphone system and a dedicated 6nm audio chip for its voice-processing features. These remain manufacturer performance claims rather than independent call-quality results.

The earbuds carry an IP55 rating; that protection does not extend to the charging case. The listed finishes are Pearl White, Twilight Rose and Pebble Gray.

A global product page is not confirmation of local stock or pricing in every market. Buyers in India, the US, China and Bangladesh will need the relevant regional sales announcement before treating a local release date or price as confirmed.
