GSMArena Finds Honor Watch 6 Excels on Battery Life but Runs Large

GSMArena's Honor Watch 6 review credits the smartwatch with exceptional endurance, bright outdoor readability and unusually detailed football tracking, while identifying its large, one-size design as the main drawback. Honor's laboratory claims are higher than the review's real-world result.

GSMArena Finds Honor Watch 6 Excels on Battery Life but Runs Large

GSMArena's review of the Honor Watch 6 presents a smartwatch built around endurance rather than a dense app ecosystem. The reviewer's verdict is strongly positive: the watch is described as attractive, robust, affordable and capable enough to fade into the background during daily use. Its principal reservation is physical, not functional—the 46mm case is offered in one size and may overwhelm smaller wrists.

Review testing highlights long endurance

Honor advertises up to 35 days in a long-endurance scenario and 17 days under its stated typical-use conditions. Those are manufacturer laboratory figures, not a universal promise. In GSMArena's test, which included three to five weekly workouts, two long football sessions, all-day wear and nightly sleep tracking, the Watch 6 lasted 23 days. The display, rated by HONOR at up to 3,000 nits, remained readable in bright sunlight during GSMArena’s use. Its large case was less comfortable for sleeping.

The review singles out the sports package as a differentiator. Dual-band GPS accompanies more than 120 modes, while football tracking can record distance, speed, steps and positional heat maps. Sleep trends were considered consistent in the reviewer's use, but the watch's wrist gestures worked only about half the time. Third-party watch faces were also judged uneven and not very customizable.

Payment support depends on market and bank

GSMArena reports NFC payments through Fidesmo Pay with Visa and Mastercard support in Europe, subject to the participating bank. HONOR's own page likewise warns that payment and card support can vary by region, so availability should be checked locally. GSMArena lists launch pricing at €170 for black and €190 for brown; the review's recommendation rests chiefly on the more-than-20-day tested endurance, sports features and classic styling—not on Honor's maximum claim.
