Apple Signals More Launches After OLED iPad mini Announcement
Greg Joswiak described the new iPad mini as the start of an exciting week. Expected Mac announcements remain reporting and predictions, not a confirmed Apple product list.
Apple Signals More Launches After OLED iPad mini Announcement
Apple has signaled that its new OLED iPad mini is only the beginning of a week of announcements. The fresh October 26 message comes from Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing—not Tim Cook.
“It’s going to be an exciting week, and it starts with our all-new iPad mini,” Joswiak wrote, as quoted by 9to5Mac.
What Apple has actually announced
The iPad mini is a confirmed product, with an 8.5-inch OLED display and an A20 Pro chip. Apple says preorders begin October 28 and availability follows November 6.
Joswiak’s message points to more activity but does not identify every additional product or give a day-by-day launch list. That distinction matters when reading the expectations surrounding the rest of the week.
The Mac timetable remains a prediction
9to5Mac cites Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman as expecting M6 versions of the iMac and MacBook Pro on October 27, followed by a redesigned touchscreen-equipped MacBook Pro on October 28.
Those are Gurman’s reported expectations, not an Apple-confirmed roster in Joswiak’s post. Product names, specifications and timing should remain qualified until Apple announces them.
A new statement, not a second event invitation
Apple had already invited press to its October 28 “Pro and tell” event. The new development is Joswiak’s suggestion of a broader week of news beginning before that event, rather than the event date itself being newly announced.
