Xiaomi’s Mijia 3L Rice Cooker Adds Variable Pressure and App Controls

Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Smart Variable Pressure Rice Cooker 3L in China, combining adjustable-pressure cooking with connected controls. Gizmochina reported a preorder price of ¥1,499 through JD.com and an October 30 sale date.

Variable pressure and a titanium-composite pot

The appliance has a 3-liter capacity, a titanium-composite inner pot and induction heating. Its variable-pressure system is designed to adjust cooking conditions for different types of rice and grains, rather than relying on a single pressure setting.

The reports describe a fluorine-free pot surface and a removable stainless-steel inner lid. A color touchscreen provides controls on the appliance itself, while a quick-cooking mode is intended for smaller portions. The quoted quick-cooking time should not be treated as the complete preparation time for every recipe.

Smart-home controls

The cooker supports Xiaomi HyperConnect, Xiao AI voice commands and the Mijia app. The app provides remote controls and access to cloud recipes, adding connected functions to the appliance’s on-device interface.

China launch, not a confirmed global rollout

The launch information reviewed concerns China. The reported ¥1,499 figure is the China preorder price, not an established international retail price. The sources do not confirm a local launch in Bangladesh or a wider international rollout.
