Apple Creator Studio adds AI assistants in November update
Apple has announced a November update to Creator Studio that brings beta AI assistants to Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers. The new features are due to arrive through the App Store and will be free for existing subscribers.
Assistants for music and everyday documents
Logic Pro for Mac gains an intelligent assistant that combines Apple-built and third-party models. It can help users start a song, set up a vocal track from a prompt or refine a project already in progress. A redesigned Browser and on-device music understanding help organise sounds, while an expanded Stem Splitter can isolate, replace or rebalance drums.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers gain context-aware assistants built on Apple models and OpenAI. Their tasks include designing and animating slides, drafting and restructuring writing, and organising, calculating and visualising spreadsheet data. Numbers can recommend chart types and create custom tables using world knowledge.
New Model Context Protocol support allows compatible external AI tools to read content, make edits and perform automated actions in those three apps. This support is limited to Mac and requires macOS 27.
Hardware and language limits
The assistants will initially be limited to US English and require Apple Intelligence-capable hardware. Logic Pro’s assistant requires macOS 27. The Keynote, Pages and Numbers assistants require iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27. These requirements matter separately from whether an older version of an app can run on a device.
Video and image-editing additions
Final Cut Pro for Mac adds built-in MotionVFX content, Apple-curated stock video in Content Hub, direct round-trip editing with Pixelmator Pro, text-to-image creation and 23 new transcription languages.
Pixelmator Pro gains Generate Fill, which creates a described edit inside a selected area of an image and can put the result on a new masked layer. Motion adds MotionVFX plug-ins. Compressor gains support for encoding Cinematic mode video recorded on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.
Subscription pricing
In the United States, Apple Creator Studio costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year after a one-month free trial. Eligible college students and educators pay $2.99 monthly or $29.99 annually. Those are U.S. prices, not confirmed local pricing for India, China or Bangladesh; country-specific launch dates for the update have not been announced.
