iQOO 16 India Launch Tipped for December 15–17, Not Yet Official

The iQOO 16 could reach India around December 15–17, according to a new tipster claim reported by GSMArena. That gives the anticipated launch a more specific window, but it is not an official date from iQOO.

A timing rumor, not a confirmed event

The flagship went official in China in late September. Innopark’s earlier coverage discussed reported testing in India, while noting that the company had not announced local availability. The new claim adds a possible December window to that discussion; it does not establish a sale date, retailer or preorder schedule.

Indian pricing is still unresolved

The Chinese model starts at CNY 5,999. GSMArena also refers to an earlier rumor that Indian pricing could approach ₹1,00,000, compared with the iQOO 15’s ₹72,999 starting price in India. The ₹1 lakh figure remains unofficial and should not be treated as a launch price.

A Chinese starting price is not an Indian retail quotation. iQOO will need to confirm the local configurations and pricing separately.

What the China model offers

The China-market iQOO 16 has a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 AMOLED display with 1440 × 3168 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, alongside Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Its headline battery specification is 8,400mAh, with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging.

The rear system combines a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP stabilized periscope camera offering 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP autofocus ultrawide. These are the existing China model’s specifications, not confirmation of every detail of a future Indian version.

Until iQOO announces the Indian launch, the December 15–17 window and any local price estimate should remain clearly labeled as reports.
