iPhone Air 2 Leak Points to Dual 48MP Cameras and a Larger Battery

The next iPhone Air could address two of the slim phone’s biggest compromises: its rear camera flexibility and battery capacity. A fresh leak from tipster Digital Chat Station, reported by GSMArena on October 29, outlines a possible iPhone Air 2 with two 48MP rear cameras and a larger battery.

These remain leaked specifications rather than an announced Apple product specification sheet.

A 6.55-inch OLED display and A20-series chip are tipped

The latest report describes a flat 6.55-inch OLED screen with a conventional aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution described as 1.5K+. It also points to a 2nm A20-series processor, although it does not establish the exact chip configuration for the Air 2.

Two rear cameras could make the Air more versatile

The proposed camera pairing is a 48MP wide camera and a 48MP ultrawide. If the claim proves accurate, the second lens would give the Air 2 a different shooting option rather than simply increasing the resolution of a single camera.

A bigger battery is also part of the latest leak. GSMArena notes that a previous rumor suggested a capacity of around 3,500mAh or more; that figure should not be treated as a confirmed capacity.

Design and launch details are still provisional

Separate earlier leaks cited by GSMArena point to a 5.2mm body, an N2 wireless chip and a C2 modem, with styling similar to the original iPhone Air. The report expects the Air 2 to arrive next spring alongside the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e, but it does not provide a confirmed launch date or price.
