OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro Launch in China With Built-In Cooling Fans
OnePlus has announced the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro in China, pairing built-in cooling fans with high-refresh-rate displays aimed at gaming. The standard Ace 7 starts at CNY 4,399, while the Ace 7 Pro begins at CNY 4,799, both for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The 185Hz headline comes with an important limit
The Ace 7 Pro has a 6.78-inch LTPO display with refresh-rate control from 1Hz to 165Hz in normal use. Its advertised 185Hz mode is available only in selected games that support it; it is not the refresh rate used throughout ordinary apps.
The series’ active cooling is intended to help manage heat during extended gaming. The Pro uses a dual-airflow design, with intake and exhaust openings integrated into the raised camera area rather than placed along the side frame. Sustained performance and fan noise still require independent testing.
Ace 7 Pro combines a 200MP camera with a large battery
The Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options reaching 1TB. Its cameras include a 200MP main unit, a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and a 16MP selfie camera. There is no ultrawide camera on the Pro.
A 9,000mAh battery and up to 100W SuperVOOC charging round out its main specifications. The phones use Crystal Shield Glass on the front, glass-fiber-reinforced plastic backs and metal frames.
How the standard Ace 7 differs
The less expensive model uses the V Series version of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. GSMArena describes it as retaining the CPU configuration while reducing GPU resources.
It also replaces the Pro’s telephoto camera with an 8MP ultrawide and does without the Pro’s bidirectional airflow arrangement. Those are meaningful differences for buyers choosing between zoom coverage, ultrawide photography and gaming hardware.
China prices do not establish a global launch
This is the full announcement following OnePlus’s earlier launch-date and hardware teasers. The CNY 4,399 and CNY 4,799 starting prices apply to the Chinese models described in the report.
Suggestions that the standard Ace 7 could become a OnePlus 16R abroad remain unconfirmed. The report does not provide launch prices for India, the US or Bangladesh.
