Galaxy S27 Certification Points to 25W Wired Charging

UL Solutions filings list 9V and 2.77A for models believed to be the Galaxy S27, backing earlier 25W charging reports. Battery and wireless details remain unconfirmed.

Galaxy S27 Certification Points to 25W Wired Charging

New UL Solutions certificates add support to reports that Samsung’s base Galaxy S27 will retain 25W wired charging. The filings concern devices believed to be the S27, rather than a Samsung announcement of final retail specifications.

What the certificates show

According to GSMArena, multiple models have been certified by UL Solutions’ Demko operation with a rating of 9V DC and 2.77A. Multiplying those figures gives 24.93W, consistent with a marketed 25W charging specification.

The report says an earlier Chinese 3C certification for model SM-S9520 had already indicated 25W charging. The new documents therefore corroborate an existing report rather than introduce a higher charging speed.

No wired-speed upgrade over the S26 is indicated

GSMArena lists the Galaxy S26’s wired charging at 25W. If the model identification and retail specification hold, the base S27 would match that figure.

This finding should not be extended to every S27-series model. Innopark’s earlier Safety Korea coverage concerned batteries associated with the rumored Pro and Ultra, a different set of devices and certification records.

Wireless charging and battery capacity remain open

The S26’s 15W wireless charging and 4,300mAh battery are predecessor specifications, not confirmation of the S27’s hardware. GSMArena expects similar wireless charging, but the cited certificates do not establish that feature or the new phone’s battery capacity.

Samsung has not supplied final S27 specifications in the material consulted here. The useful takeaway is narrower: another certification supports the existing 25W wired-charging expectation.
