POCO X8s Launches With a 6.35-Inch AMOLED and 100W Charging

POCO has introduced the X8s, pairing a relatively compact 6.35-inch AMOLED display with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a 6,330mAh typical-capacity battery and support for 100W wired charging.

The phone also includes a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera, rather than relying only on a main camera and digital cropping for zoom. GSMArena’s October 26 launch coverage lists early-bird prices from $399.

A smaller screen with adaptive refresh

The 1.5K panel has a 2656 × 1220 resolution and an adaptive refresh range of 1Hz to 120Hz. POCO advertises 1.18mm bezels and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, figures based on its stated test conditions rather than a claim of constant full-screen brightness.

The company lists a 187g weight, 8.06mm body thickness excluding the camera protrusion, and a 71.8mm width. Those dimensions are useful context for its compact positioning; the battery-capacity number alone does not describe how large the phone feels.

Three rear cameras and a confirmed 20MP selfie camera

The main camera uses a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor with optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 50MP telephoto camera offering 2.5× optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

Xiaomi’s official global product page specifies a 20MP front camera. That primary specification is the basis for the selfie-camera figure here.

The specifications establish the camera hardware, not its photographic performance. Manufacturer sample images are not a substitute for an independent camera review.

Charging, protection and software

POCO lists support for 100W HyperCharge with compatible PPS adapters and up to 22.5W wired reverse charging for supported devices. Actual charging power varies with conditions, and the company advises checking the local seller for whether an adapter is included.

The X8s also has IP68 water-and-dust resistance, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and dual stereo speakers. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, with feature availability dependent on region and software version.

Launch offers are not universal local prices

The reported early-bird configurations are 8GB RAM with 256GB storage at $399 and 12GB with 512GB at $499. The listed colors are Blue, Black and White.

These are launch-offer figures reported for the global rollout, not confirmation of US retail stock or local pricing in India, China or Bangladesh. Availability, taxes, included accessories and the exact configuration need checking in the relevant market.
