vivo X500 Ultra Could Receive a Global Release, IMEI Listings Suggest

The vivo X500 Ultra may not remain a China-only phone, according to reported entries in an IMEI database. One listing uses model number V2660 and was associated with Türkiye, while another identifies a Jovi X500 Ultra with model number J2613. Jovi is a vivo brand used in Brazil, but the listings do not amount to a confirmed retail launch or establish final regional availability.

What the listings mean

IMEI records can indicate that a manufacturer is preparing device variants for regulatory or network identification. They do not by themselves confirm a release date, sales channel, price or the countries where a phone will be sold. The database entries should therefore be read as evidence that international variants may be under consideration, not as a complete rollout plan.

The report follows vivo’s previous expansion of the X300 Ultra, which was the first Ultra model in that line to receive a global rollout. That precedent makes an international X500 Ultra plausible, but it does not guarantee the same schedule or coverage. Android Authority also reported that vivo said the X500 Ultra launch was not confirmed, while separately indicating that the wider X500 series would receive a global release. That statement should not be treated as confirmation for the Ultra model specifically.

The phone itself is expected to be unveiled in China around March or April 2027 based on earlier reports, although vivo has not formally confirmed that timing. Other leaked specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display and camera changes involving a 50MP main sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto. Those details remain unconfirmed as well.

Until vivo publishes an official announcement, buyers should not assume that the X500 Ultra will be sold in any particular country or under the Jovi name.
