HONOR Is Going Big on Battery

The smartphone industry has spent years making phones thinner, cameras sharper and displays brighter. HONOR now appears to be taking a different approach with its upcoming HONOR X9e Pro: give people a battery so large that reaching for a charger could become an occasional event rather than a daily habit. The X9e Pro is scheduled to launch in Malaysia on September 24, 2026, and its headline feature is an enormous 11,000mAh battery. That is considerably larger than the 8,300mAh battery found in the previous X9d, making endurance the biggest talking point around the new device.

A huge battery is impressive on paper, but HONOR is pairing it with charging technology that should make the size more practical. The X9e Pro is reported to support 80W wired fast charging, while it can also provide up to 27W reverse wired charging. In other words, the phone is not only designed to stay alive for a long time itself; its enormous battery can also be used to give other devices some extra power. HONOR claims the phone can deliver up to 66.8 hours of video playback, 164.5 hours of music playback and 35.6 hours of short-video scrolling under its testing conditions. HONOR Wants This Phone to Survive More Than Just a Long Day

Battery life isn't the only area where HONOR is pushing the X9e Pro. HONOR has also demonstrated the device in unusually aggressive durability tests, including exposure to hot water and physical impacts. The company has also been promoting a very bright display, with reports indicating a claimed peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits.
