Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm leak points to a much larger battery

Leaked specifications point to a 590mAh battery and up to 14 days of power-saving use for Xiaomi’s smaller Watch S5. Reporting from China indicates the model has launched there, but global availability and European pricing remain unconfirmed.

Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm leak points to a much larger battery

A reported Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm variant could bring a substantial battery upgrade to the company’s smaller smartwatch line. The leaked specification sheet describes a 590mAh cell, compared with the 320mAh battery attributed to the Watch S4 41mm. If accurate, that is an increase of about 84%.

What the leak claims

The reported watch is said to measure 9.9mm thick and use a 1.32-inch OLED display with 466 × 466 resolution and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Other claimed features include 5 ATM water resistance, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, dual-band satellite positioning and sensors for heart-rate, temperature, altitude and direction. The battery estimates are up to eight days in routine use and 14 days in a power-saving mode. These figures are reported specifications, not independently tested results.

The leak originated with Czech retail information and renders posted by Czech outlet Svět Androida. Pricing reports vary, with figures around €224–€240 or CZK 5,469. Xiaomi has not published a global price or availability announcement in the sources reviewed.

China availability does not confirm a global launch

The situation is less clear than the original “upcoming” framing suggests. FoneArena reports that Xiaomi launched the 41mm model in China, where it lists 1,299 yuan for the fluororubber version and 1,499 yuan for the leather version. Notebookcheck likewise reported Chinese reservations. However, those reports do not establish launch timing, pricing or supported features in India, the US or Bangladesh. Xiaomi’s global product page currently documents the 46mm Watch S5, not the 41mm model.
