Oppo Reno17 series leak points to huge batteries and familiar chipsets

A new leak has outlined the expected specifications, memory options and colors for Oppo’s Reno17 and Reno17 Pro. The information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station in a Weibo post, so it should not be treated as confirmed product information.

What the leak claims

The standard Reno17 is reportedly headed for a 6.5-inch display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and an 8,000mAh-class battery. The Reno17 Pro is said to use a smaller 6.3-inch panel, MediaTek’s Dimensity 8550 and a 7,200mAh-class battery. Both models are reportedly being developed with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, while the leak does not identify their main or ultrawide sensors.

The reported memory combinations are 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, 12GB with 256GB, and 12GB with 512GB. The leak does not establish which configuration belongs to which model. Reported color names include Snow White, Ice Moon White, Cocoa Brown, Starlight Pink and Encounter Cat, although translations may account for wording differences in color names reported elsewhere.

No official specification sheet yet

GSMArena and other reports say Oppo has confirmed a China launch in November, but an exact date and pricing remain unavailable. Oppo’s public English site and newsroom currently list the Reno16 series rather than a Reno17 product page. That means the battery capacities, processors, camera hardware, configurations and colors remain unconfirmed until Oppo publishes official information.
