Computacenter lifts 2026 profit outlook again as AI infrastructure demand supports orders
British technology-services provider Computacenter raised its 2026 adjusted pretax profit outlook to at least £425 million after reporting a third quarter ahead of expectations. The company announcement, carried through the London Stock Exchange's RNS service, said the update followed a strong first half and a strong start to the fourth quarter.
Hyperscale and neocloud demand
Computacenter said Group Technology Sourcing revenue continued to grow strongly, led mainly by hyperscale and neocloud customers in North America and the UK. Services revenue was also above the prior year: organic growth in Professional Services, particularly in North America, more than offset a decline in Managed Services.
The company also described record project-completion levels in North America. In the UK, it reported strong Technology Sourcing growth and solid Professional Services growth. Germany's underlying performance was described as robust, although the company said it was continuing efficiency measures and resource adjustments there.
Backlog expands
The committed product order backlog reached £12.6 billion at the end of September, compared with £9.3 billion at the end of June. Computacenter defines that measure as the value of committed outstanding vendor purchase orders tied to non-cancellable customer sales orders due for delivery within 12 months, measured on a gross-invoiced-income basis.
The new profit floor is above the company's compiled analyst consensus of £387.1 million, which had a published range of £380.8 million to £395.3 million. Reuters reported that the shares rose 6.3% on October 26 and were up 56.7% for the year at the prior Friday's close.
The guidance remains a forecast, not a reported full-year result. Computacenter's announcement expressly warned that forward-looking statements can differ materially from actual performance because of economic conditions, industry trends, competition, regulation, currency movements and other risks. Its next scheduled trading update is the January 28, 2027 pre-close statement.
