iQOO 16 Arrives With Flagship Hardware Built for Extreme Performance

iQOO has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, in China, and the company has taken a particularly aggressive approach to hardware. Rather than simply upgrading the processor and cameras, iQOO has built the new flagship around high-refresh-rate gaming, sustained performance and unusually large battery capacity.

The iQOO 16 is among the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, the company’s highest-end mobile platform introduced in September 2026. It is paired with iQOO’s dedicated Q4 gaming chip, an 8,500mm² vapor-chamber cooling system and a massive 8,400mAh silicon-anode battery. Qualcomm itself describes the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 as its most powerful mobile platform.

But the processor is only part of the story. The phone also features a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 AMOLED display with 2K resolution and up to 165Hz refresh rate, triple 50MP rear cameras, 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. A 2K 165Hz Samsung M16 Display Takes Center Stage

The iQOO 16 features a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 AMOLED display with a 3168 × 1440 resolution. The panel uses LTPO technology and can dynamically adjust its refresh rate, with a maximum of 165Hz.
