Redmi Turbo 6 Max Leak Teases a Huge 7-Inch 185Hz Flagship Screen

Redmi launched the Turbo 5 Max back in January, and its successor's design has already leaked. Now a well-known Chinese tipster has shared new details about the Redmi Turbo 6 Max's display — and he calls it a true flagship screen.

The phone is said to have a flat screen of about 7 inches, with a 2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. It reportedly uses LIPO packaging, which shrinks the bottom bezel until it matches the other three, leaving bezels of around 1mm on all four sides. The panel is also tipped to have large rounded corners, BT.2020 colour support, and a high-brightness, low-power substrate.

A big step up from the Turbo 5 Max

That would be quite the upgrade over the Turbo 5 Max, which has a 6.83-inch 1280x2772 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The 7-inch size and 2K resolution were first rumoured back in July, along with a January launch. The 185Hz refresh rate and the 1mm bezels, on the other hand, are new details that had not been heard before.

What else is tipped

The same tipster previously said the phone will be powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset and pack a battery of over 10,000mAh. And there is a familiar global angle: the Turbo 5 Max went global as the Poco X8 Pro Max, so it is quite possible the Turbo 6 Max will follow in its footsteps as the Poco X9 Pro Max. That is a possibility, not a confirmation — nothing has been announced yet.
