Honor 700 and 700 Pro Leak Points to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 10,000mAh Battery
Honor is expected to unveil its 700 series in China this month, and ahead of the rumoured launch, a tipster has revealed the chipsets expected to power the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro.
Two different chips
The Honor 700 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (SM8735), according to the source. The Honor 700 Pro could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (SM8850). Some sources suggest the Pro will use an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but that is not yet confirmed.
Big batteries
The Honor 700 is rumoured to pack a 9,000 mAh battery with 100W wired charging support. The Honor 700 Pro is rumoured to pack a 10,000 mAh battery, but its charging speed is not yet known.
Same screen and cameras
Both models are expected to have a 6.79-inch display; the Pro's is described as a 1.5K LTPO display. Both models are also expected to have a 200MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera, and both are expected to support a teleconverter — a detail the same tipster had leaked recently.
There is nothing yet on RAM, storage, pricing or an exact launch date beyond "this month" in China. As always with leaks, take the details with a pinch of salt until Honor confirms them.
