Oppo F35 Pro Gets ColorOS 17 Update With Smoothness Boost and AI Call Guard

Oppo has started bringing its ColorOS 17 update to the Oppo F35 Pro. The update is part of the company's wider rollout of its new operating system, which is currently in its third wave.

The F35 Pro is a mid-range phone that launched in early October 2026. It is available in India from INR 45,999, and the update gives it the latest version of Oppo's software, along with new performance, security and privacy features.

What ColorOS 17 brings to the F35 Pro

For F-series phones only, ColorOS 17 adds a feature called ColorOS Smoothness Boost. Oppo says it further optimises system responsiveness for a consistently fluid experience over extended use. It works together with ColorOS 17's Laminar Flow engine to improve everyday performance.

The update also adds AI Call Guard, which alerts users to potential fraud involving synthetic voices and AI-manipulated faces during calls and video interactions.

Another addition is Private Computing Cloud, known as PCC. Oppo says it keeps users' data private, even from Oppo.

The phone getting the update

The Oppo F35 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset and has a large 8,000mAh battery. It was launched in India early last month, so the ColorOS 17 update arrives only weeks after the phone went on sale.

Oppo has not given a specific completion date for the rollout in the GSMArena report, and the update is expected to reach users in phases, as is usual for a staged software rollout.

How to check for the update

F35 Pro owners in India can check for the update in the phone's software update settings. If it has not arrived yet, it should appear as the rollout continues in the coming days.
