Redmi Clip Neo Debut at CNY 400 With Clip-On Fit and Physical Buttons
Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has introduced the Clip Neo earbuds in China at CNY 400. That is half the CNY 800 launch price of the earlier Xiaomi Clip-on, giving the company a less expensive entry into this style of open-ear audio.
A lightweight clip-on design
Rather than relying on friction inside the ear canal, the Clip Neo clips around the ear. Each bud weighs 5.3g and uses 0.6mm flexible memory titanium wire, with silicone on the surfaces that touch the ear. Xiaomi says the wire has been through 25,000 bending tests.
The earbuds use 12mm dual-magnetic drivers with diamond-coated diaphragms. They also include a 10-band equalizer with custom settings and four presets.
Physical controls, not just touch gestures
Each earbud has a physical button. A single press pauses playback, a double press skips to the next track, and a triple press returns to the previous one. A long press can summon an AI assistant; GSMArena reports that this also works with iPhones, not only Android devices.
Call-noise reduction is not music ANC
Two microphones provide AI-assisted noise reduction for calls. That should not be confused with active noise cancellation for listening: the announcement describes call-noise processing, not music ANC.
Quoted battery life is up to seven hours from the buds on one charge and up to 32 hours in total with the charging case. Multipoint connectivity and quick connection when the case opens are also supported. The 32-hour figure includes the case’s recharges; it is not a single-charge listening claim.
China price and special edition
The standard Redmi Clip Neo costs CNY 400 through Xiaomi’s Chinese online store. A CNY 450 limited edition adds a CryingCenter-branded carrying pouch, stickers and custom gift-box packaging.
The comparison with Xiaomi Clip-on is between launch prices, not a claim about today’s discounted prices. The reports consulted establish China availability, not a local launch or retail price for India, the US or Bangladesh.
