Vivo Buds Ultra Reach Europe With Dual Drivers and Up to 60dB Noise Cancellation

Vivo has brought its Buds Ultra wireless earbuds to Europe with a €199 list price, combining a hybrid driver arrangement, adaptive noise cancellation and support for connecting to three devices. GSMArena reports introductory pricing of €169 through vivo’s official stores in Spain and Portugal; that is a regional offer, not a guaranteed price across Europe.

The earbuds come in Glacier White and Cosmic Black. Their hybrid system combines a compact balanced-armature driver developed with Knowles and a dynamic driver designed by vivo, rather than relying on a single driver to cover the whole frequency range.

What the noise-cancellation numbers mean

Vivo advertises a maximum noise-cancellation depth of 60dB, but also lists an average figure of 28dB. The higher number should not be interpreted as an equal reduction of every sound a listener encounters. The company says actual performance depends on fit, ear-tip size, ear shape and the surrounding noise.

The system uses four microphones and offers an Adaptive mode alongside profiles for transport environments. Call processing also uses a bone-conduction sensor. Those features address different tasks: reducing noise heard by the listener and improving the voice transmitted during calls are not the same measurement.

Battery life comes with conditions

Vivo rates the earbuds for up to 11 hours on one charge and 50 hours including the case. Its official tests used AAC, ANC switched off and controlled playback settings. The figures therefore do not establish the same endurance with LDAC, noise cancellation or every sound effect enabled.

The company also claims two hours of playback from five minutes of charging, and the case supports wireless charging. IP54 resistance applies to the earbuds only, not the case.

LDAC transmission is supported at up to 990kbps when the connected device and conditions permit it. Several personalization and control features require a compatible vivo/iQOO phone or the vEarphones app on other Android devices. Buyers should check those requirements rather than assume every advertised function works identically on every phone.
