Galaxy S27 Ultra dummy unit hints at a redesigned camera island

A physical dummy unit based on leaked CAD data is offering an early, unofficial look at Samsung’s possible Galaxy S27 Ultra design. Android Headlines says it built the mock-up from CAD files and compared it with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Google’s Pixel 11 Pro.

What the dummy suggests

The unit appears to use a raised camera island positioned high on the rear, rather than the separate camera treatment associated with the current Ultra design. Reports also describe a centered front-camera cutout, a bottom S Pen slot and a USB-C port. Its published dimensions are 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97 mm, only marginally larger than the reported Galaxy S26 Ultra measurements.

The redesigned rear could leave more room for magnetic accessories and may help the phone sit more steadily on a flat surface. Those are design interpretations, not tested features of a finished handset. The mock-up has no display, battery or internal components, so its weight, ergonomics and thermal behavior say little about the retail product.

No Samsung confirmation yet

Samsung’s official material currently documents the Galaxy S26 Ultra, including its camera system and design. It does not confirm a Galaxy S27 Ultra, a launch date, a camera count or built-in magnets. Claims that the S27 Ultra will drop a telephoto camera or use specific sensors remain rumors repeated by leak coverage. Existing S26 Ultra cases may not fit if the camera island changes, but final compatibility cannot be established from a dummy alone.
