RedMagic 12 Pro goes global with 185Hz display and RGB liquid cooling

RedMagic has introduced the 12 Pro to markets outside China, where the related handset was sold as the RedMagic 12 Pro+. The global model keeps the headline hardware: an 8,400mAh battery, a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz, and an under-display front camera.

Cooling and gaming hardware

The phone’s AquaCore Cooling System 3.0 uses a dual-loop liquid design, a high-speed fan, a vapor chamber and Liquid Metal 4.0. RedMagic says the cooling loop has RGB lighting. The company’s product page also lists a 50MP main camera with optical stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide camera, 520Hz shoulder triggers, Wi-Fi 7 and IP68/IP69 protection; the fan has a separate IPX8 rating. These are manufacturer specifications, and its performance figures are based on internal testing.

The handset runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Global charging is capped at 80W wired, rather than the 120W specification reported for the Chinese version.

Price and availability

US pricing starts at $949 for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, rising to $1,199 for the 16GB/1TB model. RedMagic says early-bird vouchers run from November 12 to 17, with open sales beginning November 18. Availability varies by market, so buyers in India and Bangladesh should check local RedMagic channels rather than assume US pricing or dates apply.
