OnePlus Turbo 7 tipped for 185Hz screen and Snapdragon 8 Gen 6

OnePlus may be preparing a substantial upgrade to its China-focused Turbo line, but the details remain firmly in leak territory. GSMArena reports that a Weibo tipster has linked the alleged Turbo 7 to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 6, a 200MP main camera and a display capable of 185Hz, with 165Hz available system-wide. The report also says the phone could use a glass body and omit a periscope telephoto camera.

What the leak claims

The same broad specification set appeared in separate reporting on an alleged OnePlus Turbo 7 Pro. 91mobiles attributed that information to a Digital Chat Station post that was later edited. Its account described a 6.78-inch flat 1.5K panel, a 200MP primary camera and a battery of at least 9,000mAh, with engineering samples reportedly reaching 10,000mAh. Those battery figures are not confirmed, and the report said charging details were unknown.

No official Turbo 7 confirmation yet

The leak names Snapdragon 8 Gen 6. Qualcomm’s checked product page describes Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, so it does not independently verify that chipset claim or link it to a OnePlus phone. OnePlus’s public pages consulted for this report did not confirm the phone’s name, specifications, price or launch timing. The reported year-end timing should therefore be treated as a tip, not a release commitment.

For comparison only, the cited reports describe the Turbo 6 as using a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a 165Hz screen and a 50MP main camera. Whether its successor will deliver the rumored jump will depend on a formal announcement and final hardware.
