New Motorola One Surfaces With 15W Wireless Charging and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
Motorola looks ready to bring back its One series. A new phone carrying the name "moto one" has turned up in a wireless-charging certification, and separate benchmark listings have already given away its key specifications — even though Motorola itself has said nothing about the device yet.
The phone, model number XT2771-1, was certified by the Wireless Power Consortium on 3 November 2026 under Qi ID 27890. The listing confirms support for 15W Qi wireless charging and, more interestingly, includes official-looking renders that show the handset from every angle.
What the design reveals
The renders show a dark green phone with a large display and a centred punch-hole camera at the top. Around the back sits a large rounded-square camera island holding three lenses and a flash in a 2x2 layout, with Motorola's batwing logo in the middle of the rear panel. The side profile looks slim, and the camera module sticks out noticeably from the top view.
One detail worth noting: the renders carry a "LENOVO Restricted / Confidential" watermark, a reminder that these are internal images rather than official marketing material. They still give the clearest look yet at what Motorola is preparing.
Geekbench points to flagship-level power
The certification listing carries no specifications beyond charging, but four Geekbench results for the same XT2771-1 model fill in the blanks. The phone is listed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, 12GB of RAM and Android 16.
Its best Geekbench result so far is 2,109 points in the single-core test and 8,586 in the multi-core test. That is the strongest of the four runs, and retail units could score higher still once the software is final.
What is still unknown
Nothing here is confirmed by Motorola. There is no launch date, no price and no word on which markets will get the phone. The certification and the benchmark listings only tell us that a new One-series handset exists and that it is aimed well above the budget end of the market.
Motorola has used the One name for several phones over the years, so a revival is not out of character. If the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 pairing holds, this would be one of the most powerful One-series phones the company has ever made.
