Samsung's Android XR Glasses Go Up for Pre-Order on November 12

Samsung showed off its first Android XR glasses at its Galaxy Unpacked event back in July, and a recent report claimed they would go on sale in mid-December. Now we know when you will be able to pre-order them — and the news does not come from Samsung or Google.

In its third-quarter results today, Dave Gilboa, Warby Parker's co-founder and co-CEO, said the company will begin pre-orders for the glasses on November 12. On that date, more details will also be released, including pricing, the official naming and a launch date in December, so that customers can evaluate the products before they decide to buy them.

Try them before you buy them

If you would rather try the glasses before you buy them, demos will be available in 65 Warby Parker stores in the US and Canada on November 12 as well.

What the glasses are

The Intelligent Eyewear glasses run Android XR with Gemini, and the hardware is made by Samsung. They are a different form factor from Samsung's Galaxy XR headset, even though both belong to the broader Android XR platform.
