OPPO F35 Series Debuts With 8,000mAh Batteries and 50MP Ultra-Wide Selfie Cameras

OPPO has officially launched the F35 5G and F35 Pro 5G in India, and the new generation is taking the F-series in a noticeably different direction. Instead of chasing only thinner bodies or faster processors, OPPO is putting enormous battery capacity and high-resolution group selfies at the center of the experience. Both phones arrive with an 8,000mAh battery, 80W SUPERVOOC charging and a 50MP ultra-wide front camera, while the Pro model adds a faster chipset, higher-refresh-rate display and a more capable rear camera system.

The launch is also significant for the F-series itself. OPPO is marking 10 years of the F-series in India, and the company is using the F35 generation to reinforce the line's long-standing focus on photography and social sharing. The phones will go on sale in India from October 11, with availability through OPPO's online store, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail channels.

Two Phones, One Big Battery Strategy

The biggest common feature is the battery. Both the OPPO F35 5G and F35 Pro 5G use an 8,000mAh battery, which is substantially larger than the capacity traditionally found in mainstream smartphones. OPPO rates the typical capacity at 8,000mAh, while the rated capacities are 7,820mAh for the F35 and 7,780mAh for the F35 Pro.

The company says its laboratory testing indicates that the battery can retain more than 80 percent of its capacity after six years under a simulated usage pattern. That does not mean every user will get identical results—the actual lifespan depends on charging habits, temperature, network conditions and usage—but it shows that OPPO is treating long-term battery health as part of the phone's selling point rather than simply advertising a large number.

Both models support 80W SUPERVOOC charging, giving the large batteries considerably more practical appeal. OPPO's own testing says the F35 can reach 45 percent from 1 percent in around 30 minutes, while the Pro is also designed to maintain fast charging across a broad temperature range. Both phones additionally support reverse wired charging, allowing them to provide power to another compatible device.

The 50MP Selfie Camera Is the Real Headliner

The most interesting camera decision is found on the front. Both phones feature a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view and autofocus. This is not simply a high-megapixel selfie sensor; the wider lens is designed specifically around group photography, allowing more people and more of the surrounding scene to fit into a single frame.

OPPO also adds an AI Auto Wide-Angle Switch, while the front camera supports 0.6x, 1x and 2x framing on the F35. That makes the system more flexible than the typical fixed selfie camera, particularly for group photos, travel shots and video calls where moving the phone farther away is not always convenient.

The Pro model takes the selfie hardware a little further with an f/2.0 lens, while the standard F35 uses an f/2.1 lens. More importantly, both phones can record high-resolution video from the front camera, with the F35 Pro supporting 4K at 30fps and the standard F35 supporting up to 2.5K at 30fps through an OTA update.

OPPO F35 Pro 5G: The More Powerful Option

The OPPO F35 Pro 5G is where the series becomes considerably more interesting for performance-focused buyers. It uses MediaTek's Dimensity 7360 MAX, a 4nm chipset paired with LPDDR4X RAM and faster UFS 3.1 storage. OPPO says the processor delivers a 30 percent improvement in CPU multi-core performance and a 35 percent improvement in GPU performance compared with the previous generation under its stated testing conditions.

The Pro also receives a larger 5,000mm² SuperCool VC cooling system, which is designed to control heat during demanding tasks. That should be useful for extended gaming sessions and other workloads where sustained performance matters more than short benchmark bursts.

Storage configurations include 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, with UFS 3.1 storage. The combination gives the Pro a clear hardware advantage over the standard F35, which uses the Dimensity 6360 MAX and UFS 2.2 storage.

A 144Hz AMOLED Display on the Pro

The F35 Pro gets a 6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 2772 × 1272 resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. It supports adaptive refresh rates from 60Hz through 120Hz, with 144Hz available at the maximum setting. The panel offers 10-bit color depth, 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage and up to 1,800 nits of HBM brightness.

The standard F35 takes a slightly smaller 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,400 nits HBM brightness. Both displays support adaptive refresh rates, so the phone can adjust the refresh rate according to what is happening on screen.

For everyday use, the difference will mainly be noticeable in size and smoothness. The Pro is clearly aimed at users who want a more premium display experience, while the standard F35 keeps the AMOLED panel and 120Hz refresh rate without pushing the specifications as far.

Camera Hardware: The Pro Gets a Clear Advantage

On the rear, the F35 Pro has a 50MP main camera with autofocus and two-axis optical image stabilization, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 116-degree field of view. Both front and rear cameras can record 4K video at 30fps.

The standard F35 5G also uses a 50MP main camera, but it does not have OIS and is paired with a 2MP secondary camera. Its video recording tops out at 1080p initially, while OPPO lists 2.5K at 30fps as a feature coming through an OTA software update.

That difference makes the Pro much easier to recommend for people who care about rear-camera photography and video. The standard F35's biggest imaging advantage is instead its shared 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera, which gives the cheaper model a surprisingly strong front-camera specification.

Durability Is Another Major Part of the F35 Formula

OPPO is also giving both phones a strong durability pitch. The F35 series carries IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66-level protection claims, while OPPO also promotes military-grade shock resistance and a design intended to better handle everyday drops and impacts.

The IP ratings are particularly interesting because they place the F35 series among the more heavily protected mainstream smartphones. They should still be understood as laboratory-tested protection rather than a promise that the phone cannot be damaged. OPPO itself notes that water and dust resistance can vary with usage and conditions.

OPPO F35 and F35 Pro Price in India

The OPPO F35 5G starts at ₹38,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The 8GB+128GB model costs ₹42,999.

The OPPO F35 Pro 5G starts at ₹45,999 for 6GB+128GB. The 8GB+128GB version is priced at ₹49,999, while the top 8GB+256GB configuration costs ₹54,999. Sales begin in India on October 11.

OPPO has also announced launch-period financing, cashback and exchange offers, although the exact promotions can vary by sales channel. There is currently no confirmed official Bangladesh price in the sources reviewed, so Indian pricing should not be presented as the Bangladesh retail price.

OPPO F35 vs F35 Pro: Which One Makes More Sense?

The difference between the two models is more than a simple Pro badge. The F35 Pro gives buyers a faster Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, UFS 3.1 storage, a 144Hz AMOLED display, a larger cooling system, an OIS-equipped 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera.

The standard F35, however, keeps the features that will matter most to a large section of everyday users: the 8,000mAh battery, 80W charging, AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera and IP69K-oriented durability. Its lower starting price makes that combination particularly interesting.

OPPO F35 Series Review: A Strong Battery-and-Selfie Package

Based on the specifications and launch information available at release, the F35 series has a clear identity. These are not phones designed around one headline processor benchmark. OPPO is selling a particular combination of long battery life, group selfies, durability and fast charging, with the Pro model adding enough hardware upgrades to justify its higher position.

The 8,000mAh battery is arguably the strongest part of the package. Combined with 80W charging and OPPO's long-term battery-health claims, it addresses one of the most practical complaints smartphone users have: constantly thinking about the next charge.

The 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera is also more meaningful than a simple megapixel upgrade. The 100-degree field of view directly targets group selfies and social photography, which fits naturally with the F-series' photography-focused history. The Pro model is the more convincing all-round device, particularly because OIS, the ultra-wide rear camera, faster storage and the Dimensity 7360 MAX improve the experience beyond selfies.

The main question will be how these phones perform against competing devices at their respective prices. The standard F35 enters a crowded mid-range segment, while the F35 Pro's ₹45,999 starting price puts it in a range where buyers can reasonably expect strong performance as well as battery life. On specifications alone, OPPO has made a clear trade: it is prioritizing endurance and camera-oriented features rather than trying to win every category.

Verdict

The OPPO F35 and F35 Pro 5G are among the more battery-focused additions to OPPO's F-series, and the 8,000mAh capacity gives both phones an immediate point of difference. Add 80W charging, 50MP ultra-wide selfie cameras, AMOLED displays and strong durability features, and the series has a recognizable identity rather than feeling like another routine yearly refresh.

For buyers who want the strongest overall hardware, the F35 Pro 5G is the more complete package. For those who mainly want a huge battery, smooth AMOLED display and high-resolution group selfies at a lower price, the F35 5G is the more practical choice.
