WhatsApp Announces Events Home and Shareable Event Invites
WhatsApp is adding Events Home, a central place for all events. Events were first introduced in May 2024, and they were initially available in group chats; now users can see all events across chats in one place.
Events Home is a new dedicated home for events, a central hub. It will show upcoming, past and draft events, and users can also create new events from there.
Rolling out now
Events Home is rolling out now, and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
Shareable event invites
WhatsApp is also adding shareable event invites, allowing users to share an event with anyone, even those who don't use WhatsApp, via a link. The link can be shared with anyone.
