Otter.ai Raises $320 Million for Enterprise Growth
AI meeting-note company Otter.ai has raised $320 million in non-dilutive financing from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund, TechCrunch reported on October 20.
Growth capital without new equity dilution
Otter says the capital will support enterprise growth, go-to-market work, international expansion and product innovation. The non-dilutive structure differs from a conventional equity round because it does not require the company to issue new ownership stakes for that capital.
User growth and meeting assistance
The company reports that its product has been used by 40 million people, up from 25 million last year. It crossed $100 million in annual recurring revenue last year. Those are company-reported milestones, and the user total should not be confused with a monthly active-user count.
Otter is testing pre-meeting briefs and live in-meeting AI assistance. The direction extends its focus beyond capturing transcripts toward helping users prepare for discussions and retrieve useful context while meetings are under way.
