Tesla App Adds Native iPad and iPhone Duo Support
A larger canvas for Tesla controls
Tesla has updated its mobile app ahead of Apple’s iPhone Duo launch, adding native support for iPad and the new foldable-style iPhone Duo. MacRumors reports that the update adapts vehicle controls and home-energy features to larger displays rather than simply stretching the phone interface.
Why it matters
The redesign should make common actions—including checking vehicle status, controlling climate, viewing charging information and managing compatible home-energy products—easier to scan on a tablet-sized screen. Support arrives as iPhone Duo’s October 23 launch approaches and as developers update apps for Apple’s new orientations and available screen area. Tesla’s update is therefore both a practical app improvement and an early example of how major apps are responding to Apple’s new hardware. MacRumors’ report does not establish that every Tesla function has been redesigned equally, so users should treat availability as version-dependent.
