Samsung has begun a phased European rollout of One UI 9, based on Android 17, for the Galaxy A36. The update uses firmware A366BXXUCDZIF, includes the September 5, 2026 security patch and requires a 2.38GB download.
Samsung Galaxy A36 Gets Android 17-Based One UI 9 Update in Europe
Samsung has expanded the stable One UI 9 rollout for the Galaxy A36 beyond its initial release in South Korea. The Android 17-based update is now reaching Galaxy A36 devices in Europe, according to reports published on October 20, 2026.
The over-the-air package is 2.38GB, so users should use a reliable Wi-Fi connection and keep sufficient storage available before downloading. After installation, the phone moves to firmware version A366BXXUCDZIF and shows the September 5, 2026 security patch level.
What the Galaxy A36 update changes
One UI 9 introduces interface and customization changes, including more flexible Quick Settings controls. Reported additions also include a network-speed indicator in the status bar and a new “Warranty and care” section in Settings. The exact feature set can vary by device configuration and region.
Samsung’s rollout is phased rather than simultaneous. A European Galaxy A36 owner may therefore see the update at a different time from another owner in the same region. Samsung’s public rollout evidence cited for this report does not confirm availability in India, the US, China or Bangladesh, so users in those markets should not treat the European release as a local availability announcement. Eligible owners can check Settings > Software update > Download and install.
