Reliable Robotics Extends Series D With $115 Million
Reliable Robotics has secured $115 million in an extension of its Series D, bringing the round to $275 million as the aviation startup works toward FAA certification, TechCrunch reported on October 20.
Equity and debt make up the extension
The financing comprises $90 million in equity led by Nimble Partners and $25 million in Silicon Valley Bank debt. The company’s valuation is now above $1 billion, while cumulative funding reaches $380 million.
The distinction matters: the full $115 million is not new equity investment, and the company’s valuation is separate from the amount it has raised.
Autopilot with a pilot still aboard
Reliable’s first product is continuous autopilot engagement. It automates engine startup, taxiing, takeoff and landing while a pilot remains in the aircraft.
The company is pursuing FAA certification. That work remains a regulatory step toward deployment, so the financing should not be mistaken for certification or permission to begin unrestricted pilotless operations.
