Leica and Formula 1 Launch the Q3 43 Formula 1 Edition

Leica Camera and Formula 1 have turned their new licensing partnership into a limited-design camera built around the Q3 43 platform. The special edition retains the camera’s full-frame sensor and 43mm APO fixed lens while adding details drawn directly from motorsport: a non-slip Microvelour surface modeled on a racing steering wheel, genuine carbon-fiber elements, and Formula 1 marks on the top plate and lens cap.

Leica also created an exclusive “Formula 1” image look in the Leica FOTOS app. It emphasizes higher contrast and richer saturation, and can be previewed in the viewfinder rather than applied only after capture. The app transfers photos and video to mobile devices.

The edition became available October 21, 2026, through Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and specialist retailers.
