Honor Win2 Adds Dual Cooling Fans as Win Tablet Debuts With a 240Hz OLED
Honor’s Win2 gaming phone launches in China with dual fans and a 10,100mAh battery, alongside an 8.4-inch Win Tablet with a 240Hz OLED display.
Honor Win2 Adds Dual Cooling Fans as Win Tablet Debuts With a 240Hz OLED
Honor has expanded its gaming hardware lineup in China with the Win2 smartphone and its first Win-branded tablet. The phone combines two internal cooling fans with a 10,100mAh battery, while the compact tablet pairs an 8.4-inch OLED screen with a maximum 240Hz refresh rate.
The announcement is separate from the Win RT2 and Win Turbo2 launch. Those phones use different processors and have larger 12,070mAh batteries; their specifications should not be mixed with the flagship Win2.
Win2 focuses on cooling and charging
The Win2 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, with configurations reaching 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Its 6.89-inch OLED has a 1440 × 3104 resolution and 185Hz refresh rate. Honor advertises peak brightness of 10,000 nits, a peak specification rather than a guarantee of full-screen brightness.
According to GSMArena, one cross-flow fan spins at up to 20,000rpm and a side fan reaches 31,000rpm. Honor claims 284% more airflow than the original Win; that comparison comes from the manufacturer, not independent testing by Innopark IT.
The phone supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. Other specifications include a stabilized 200MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, 50MP selfie camera and Android 17-based MagicOS 11. At approximately 237g and 8.5mm thick, it is substantial hardware rather than an especially light gaming handset.
Chinese pre-orders start at CNY 5,499 for 12GB/256GB, rising to CNY 7,999 for 16GB/1TB. Intermediate configurations are also offered.
Win Tablet takes a smaller-screen approach
The Win Tablet uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and an 8.4-inch 1440 × 2304 OLED panel. Its 240Hz refresh ceiling does not mean every game will run at 240 frames per second; software support and performance remain important.
The tablet has a built-in fan rated up to 15,000rpm, a 10,000mAh battery and 66W charging. It weighs 315g and is 6.1mm thick, with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
Pricing is CNY 4,199 for 12GB/256GB or CNY 5,199 for 16GB/512GB. The reported CNY 9.9 reservation payment is not the device’s retail price. International availability, including India, the US and Bangladesh, has not been confirmed in the cited launch coverage.
