Protesters say the changes erase social and political history

President Abelardo de la Espriella’s government has removed dozens of exhibits from Bogotá’s National Museum as part of what he calls a cultural “counterrevolution.” AP says the material included histories of social movements, feminist and LGBTQ+ activism, and political violence. Artists, students and rights groups protested, while the culture minister said exhibition practices were being reviewed.
