Apple commits up to $100 million for US titanium supply

Apple said it will commit up to $100 million over three years to buy titanium from Pennsylvania-based Perryman Company, adding a domestic materials link to its American Manufacturing Program. The agreement covers titanium for several products, including Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo.

Perryman will melt, forge and roll the material at its Houston, Pennsylvania, site, using at least 80% recycled content. Apple is also expanding its relationship with Delaware-based Qnity Electronics to make films for the variable-aperture camera system in the iPhone 18 Pro.

A wider US supplier network

Apple said nearly 100 components in the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro will be made by US companies supplied from more than a dozen states. It also said TSMC’s Arizona plant will produce more than 100 million Apple chips in 2026 and that Corning’s Kentucky facility will make all cover glass for iPhones and Apple Watches sold worldwide by year-end. The titanium deal sits within Apple’s broader $600 billion, four-year US manufacturing commitment, linking product launches to a domestic industrial strategy.
