Apple Opens iPhone 18 Pro Parts Sales Through Self Service Repair

Owners of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max now have another route to fixing their phones: Apple has begun selling replacement parts and tools through its Self Service Repair Store, according to GSMArena.

The expansion covers major components including displays, batteries, cameras, back glass, speakers and enclosures. Parts have also been added for the M5 Max and M5 Ultra Mac Studio, as well as the M6 and M5 Pro Mac mini.

Replacement prices depend on return credits

The reported US price for a replacement rear camera is $249. An eligible return of the original camera brings a $59.76 credit, reducing the net parts cost to $189.24. That is not the same as an upfront discount, and buyers should check the store’s return requirements before ordering.

Displays are listed at $329 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $379 for the Pro Max, with return credits of $16.45 and $18.95 respectively. Batteries cost $129 before a $61.92 eligible return credit; the Pro Max battery was still marked as coming soon when GSMArena checked.

A seven-day tool-kit rental is $49. Smaller supplies and specialist tools can also be purchased separately, so the cost of a repair can extend beyond the replacement component itself.

A repair option, not a universal price list

Apple introduced Self Service Repair in 2022 and supplies official manuals for supported procedures. The program is available only in eligible regions; the US prices reported here should not be read as local offers for India, China or Bangladesh.

The practical question for an owner is the total cost and complexity of the specific repair, including tools and any conditions attached to parts credits. Availability of a component does not mean every repair is straightforward for an inexperienced user.
