Samsung’s One UI 9 Android 17 Update Reaches Galaxy S24 Series in South Korea

Samsung has started distributing its October 2026 software update to the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea. The rollout covers the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra, with the Fan Edition potentially following in the coming days. SammyFans reports that the first release is limited to Korean devices and may take time to expand globally.

The update arrives after Samsung began rolling out the Android 17-based One UI 9.0 upgrade. The October package is described as a security-focused follow-up, with up to 83 patches for the base and Plus models and 79 for the Ultra. Listed firmware builds include S921NKSS6EZJ1 for Galaxy S24 and S928NKSS6EZJ1 for the Plus and Ultra.

Owners can check manually through Settings, Software update, then Download and install. Users should verify the build and region before assuming the OTA is ready.
