Samsung is expanding its Certified Re-Newed phone program to Amazon in the United States, adding another place to buy manufacturer-refurbished Galaxy devices. The initial selection includes 14 configurations across the Galaxy S24 and S25 ranges, with advertised prices starting at $489.
The expansion concerns a retail channel and refurbishment program, not a new Galaxy model. Availability and prices depend on the specific configuration and stock, and the starting figure does not include any applicable taxes or additional charges.
What Samsung says the certification includes
Samsung says its Certified Re-Newed phones go through a 147-point inspection and are restored using genuine Samsung parts. Each receives a new certified Samsung battery, a new IMEI and updated software before being offered for sale.
The devices come with a one-year manufacturer warranty and are eligible for Samsung Care+ coverage. Buyers should read the protection plan’s own terms rather than assuming that optional coverage is included in the phone’s advertised price.
Look for the specific Samsung program
The manufacturer-backed certification matters when comparing refurbished listings. Buyers should check that the exact offer identifies the phone as Samsung Certified Re-Newed and states the applicable warranty and battery provisions; a broad refurbished label alone does not establish that a listing has every feature of this program.
The initial Amazon assortment described in the announcement does not include foldables. Anyone looking for a renewed Galaxy Z model should not assume that the new Amazon selection covers it.
A US channel expansion, with local terms elsewhere
Amazon joins Samsung’s own store as a channel for the company’s renewed phones. That gives shoppers another way to compare the price of a refurbished recent-generation Galaxy with a new device, while retaining the manufacturer’s stated certification process.
The announcement applies to Amazon US. It does not establish equivalent stock, pricing or warranty arrangements in India, China or Bangladesh. Buyers in other markets should check their local Samsung program and authorized sellers rather than importing the US terms into a different country.
