Apple’s iPhone Duo begins shipping after its October 23 launch

Apple’s first foldable iPhone has moved from preorders to customer shipments. The iPhone Duo reached its announced availability date on October 23, following the opening of preorders on October 16.

The milestone marks the retail arrival of a new iPhone format, but it does not guarantee immediate delivery for every buyer. Configuration, country and available stock can all affect when an order arrives.

A two-screen iPhone

Apple’s published specifications pair a 5.4-inch outer display with a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR folding display. The larger panel supports ProMotion refresh rates up to 120Hz. Apple lists a titanium foldable design, Ceramic Shield protection, IP68 resistance and a weight of 254 grams.

The phone uses the A20 Pro chip and iOS 27, with interface changes designed for moving between its two displays. Apple says the software includes Split View multitasking and screen transitions, while developers are adapting applications to the wider unfolded canvas.

Cameras and the foldable format

The rear system combines a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera. The main camera also supplies a 2x optical-quality telephoto view. Apple’s Duo Preview and other camera features use the device’s two-screen layout for framing and capture.

These are the manufacturer’s specifications, not a substitute for independent testing of durability, camera quality or battery endurance. The start of shipments should make more real-world experience with the folding design available.

Check local delivery rather than assuming worldwide stock

GSMArena’s launch-day report notes that online delivery estimates can stretch beyond launch as initial inventory is absorbed. A shipping announcement and an individual order’s delivery estimate are different things: buyers should use the date shown for their own configuration and destination.

The consulted pages do not establish a single delivery timetable covering India, the US, China and Bangladesh. Country-specific Apple Store listings or authorized retailers remain the relevant place to check local purchasing options.
